Ilia Darchiashvili, the Georgian Foreign Minister and Peter Siarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary gave “high  evaluation” to the completion of Georgia's European Union membership questionnaire, handed over by the country ahead of schedule this week.

The ministers discussed Georgian-Hungarian bilateral relations and Hungary’s “active support” for Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic path at the Ministerial of the Global Coalition against ISIS, hosted on Wednesday in Morocco. Siarto welcomed Georgia's “prompt completion” of the questionnaire, and expressed hope the efforts would be properly appreciated by EU partners.

The two officials also reviewed the “significant efforts and progress” made by Georgia over the recent years in its European integration process, in particular since the signing of the Association Agreement signed with the European Union in 2014. The Hungarian Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s support for Georgia's  sovereignty and territorial integrity, the press office of the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
