The war in Ukraine and Georgia’s accelerated European integration process were discussed on Tuesday in a phone call between the Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili and her German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
In comments on the conversation, Zourabichvili said the two leaders had agreed to meet in the near future in relation to the 30th anniversary of restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year.

The current military actions in Ukraine, the situation in the Russian-occupied territories of Georgia and the security issues in the Black Sea region were discussed at a meeting between President of Georgia Salome Zurabichvili and a delegation of the European Parliament in Tbilisi on Monday.
Irakli Garibashvili, the Georgian Prime Minister, has noted an “important day” for the country with the Foreign Minister set to receive the questionnaire for European Union membership from the European Commissioner.
Close communication and relations with Germany is an “important priority” for the Georgian Government, the Georgian foreign office said on Wednesday on the occasion of the 30th anniversary since the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
