The 200 GEL vaccination promotion campaign will continue in January. The age limit will be lowered to citizens over 50, who will receive the bonus if vaccinated against COVID-19.
There is enough money allocated from the budget, which will be enough to give a 200-GEL incentive to all Georgian citizens above 50 years of age," Chief of the Operational Staff of the Interagency Coordination Council Giorgi Gibradze said.
The bonus is given to those receiving a first dose of the vaccine.
Until now, only individuals over 60 years of age were able to receive the 200-GEL bonus.
As of December 21, a total of 92,110 Georgian citizens have benefited from the vaccination promotion program.
About 100,000 Georgian citizens over the age of 60 have received a vaccine against Covid-19 following the announcement on November 8 of the Georgian government’s incentive program, which provides pensioners with a 200 GEL pension bonus, Head of Georgia's National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze reported.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has announced that pensioners who are vaccinated against COVID-19 before January 1, 2022, will receive 200 GEL (about $63.29 / €54.71) pension bonuses. At a government session held earlier today, Garibashvili said that in order to encourage vaccination among the elderly, pensioners will receive 200 GEL bonuses after their first vaccine doses.

The Ministry of Health has decided to shorten the Covid-19 isolation and quarantine period for fully vaccinated individuals who test positive for the virus starting Monday.
