Georgia reports 3,842 new cases of coronavirus, weekly positivity rate stands at 9.17%

Georgia has reported 3,842 new cases of coronavirus, 777 recoveries and 31 deaths in the last 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate stands at 9.17%.

A total of 31,956 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

Overall, 34,000 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 21,147 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,853 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had a total of 958,586 Covid-19 cases since February 26, 2020. 

912,443 of the 958,586 infected individuals have recovered, while 14,187 have died from the virus.

The new 3,842 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 2,089 cases 
  • Adjara - 474 cases 
  • Imereti - 437 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 108 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 157 cases 
  • Guria - 141 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 179 cases 
  • Kakheti - 146 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 52 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 48 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 11 cases

4,418 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,089 of them are in intensive care units. 275 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

26,045 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

1,297,372 individuals in the country have received at least one dose of Covid-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,167,688 have been fully vaccinated.
