Coronavirus: Georgia reports 2,622 new cases, 1,126 recoveries, 28 deaths

Georgia has reported 2,622 new cases of coronavirus, 1,126 recoveries and 28 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for the last 7 days stands at 8.65%.

A total of 28,922 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

Overall, 27,539 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 14,309 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 13,230 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had a total of 954,744 Covid-19 cases since February 26, 2020. 

911,666 of the 954,744 infected individuals have recovered, while 14,156 have died from the virus.

The new 2,622 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 1,597 cases 
  • Adjara - 343 cases 
  • Imereti - 179 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 111 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 84 cases 
  • Guria - 48 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 78 cases 
  • Kakheti - 101 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 48 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 30 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 3 cases

4,368 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,109 of them are in intensive care units. 274 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

23,501 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

1,296,326 individuals in the country have received at least one dose of Covid-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,165,288 have been fully vaccinated.
