Georgia reports 4,234 new cases of coronavirus, 1,727 recoveries, 46 deaths

Georgia has reported 4,234 new Covid-19 cases, 1,727 recoveries, and 46 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days has increased to 6.61%.

Overall 28,716 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.

A total of 45,006 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 26,832 of the 45,006 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18,174 were PCR tests. 

953,410 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 910,540 of 953,410 patients have recovered, while 14,128 have died from the virus.

The 4,234 new cases were recorded in:

  • Tbilisi - 2,249 cases 
  • Adjara - 495 cases 
  • Imereti - 457 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 164 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 199 cases 
  • Guria - 147 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 196 cases 
  • Kakheti - 158 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 93 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 53 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 23 cases

28,255 individuals are in self-isolation.

Overall, ​​1,294,533 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,161,155 people have been fully vaccinated.
