Coronavirus: Georgia reports 2,097 new cases, 2,331 recoveries, 51 deaths

Georgia has reported 2,097 new Covid-19 cases, 2,331 recoveries, and 51 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 5.57%.

Overall 25,793 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

A total of 39,036 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 23,112 of the 39,036 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 15,924 were PCR tests. 

932,641 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 893,064 of 932,641 patients have recovered, while 13,758 have died from the virus.

The 2,097 new cases were recorded in:

  • Tbilisi - 887 cases 
  • Adjara - 222 cases 
  • Imereti - 309 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 114 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 97 cases 
  • Guria - 92 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 140 cases 
  • Kakheti - 135 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 49 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 30 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 22 cases

A total of 4,712 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,211 of the 4,712 patients are in critical condition. 287 of the 1,211 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

20,208 people are undergoing treatment at home. 

29,997 individuals are in self-isolation.

Overall, ​​1,287,341 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,145,424 people have been fully vaccinated.
