Georgia has released the application Covid Pass which allows people to get information about their Covid-19 status online.

The application generates a QR code after an individual’s registration which contains the following information:

  • Covid-19 vaccine doses and dates
  • PCR test results for the last 72 hours
  • Rapid antigen test results for the past 24 hours
  • Confirmation of recovering from Covid-19 which is valid for six months

The Coordination Council decided earlier today to allow individuals who recovered from coronavirus in the last six months to attend public events such as conferences, trainings and sports competitions without having a vaccination certificate or a negative test result.

Six months are calculated starting 14 days after of laboratory confirmation of Covid-19,” representative of the Interagency Coordination Council Giorgi Ghibradze said.

A citizen must be either vaccinated or have a PCR test conducted within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test in the last 24 hours (in order to attend public events),” Ghibradze added.

Georgia has reported 946 new cases of coronavirus and 48 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Public transport in all large cities of Georgia has resumed operations starting today after weeks of suspension while a 2.8 million GEL lottery has also started today to lift Covid-19 vaccination rates in Georgia.

A total of 605,529 people have been fully vaccinated in the country.

Currently, vaccination in Georgia is available with Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and Sinocav vaccines.

Georgia received 100,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine yesterday from the Georgia Red Cross Society as a gift from the Red Cross of China.
