Georgia reports 946 new cases of coronavirus of 17,192 tests

Georgia has reported 946 new cases of coronavirus, 4,351 recoveries and 48 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

27,595 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

17,192 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 9,442 of the 17,192 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,750 were PCR tests. 

The country has had 581,815 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

7.81 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

545,916 of the 581,815 patients have recovered, while 8,233 have died from the virus.

The new 946 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 324 cases 
  • Adjara - 120 cases 
  • Imereti - 133 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 38 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 36 cases 
  • Guria - 33 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 99 cases 
  • Kakheti - 95 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 32 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 20 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 16 cases

6,186 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,419 of the 6,186 patients are in critical condition. 363 of the 1,419 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

19,798 individuals are undergoing treatment at home. 

24,097 individuals are in self isolation.

More than 8,450,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.

1,507,986 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which  605,529 individuals have been completely vaccinated.
