Coronavirus: 2,515 new cases of 32,207 tests in 24 hours

Georgia has reported 2,515 new cases of coronavirus, 2,829 recoveries and 60 deaths in the past 24 hours.

In total, 32,207 tests have been conducted around the country of which 19,341 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,866 were PCR tests.

The new cases were recorded in:

Tbilisi - 869 cases
Imereti - 393 cases
Kakheti - 338 cases
Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 251 cases
Adjara - 159 cases
Kvemo Kartli - 151 cases
Shida Kartli - 143 cases
Samtskhe-Javakheti - 64 cases
Guria - 61 cases
Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 61 cases
Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 25 cases

Currently 27,398 individuals remain infected with Covid-19, of which:

20,295 patients are undergoing treatment at home
5,785 patients - in hospitals
1,318 patients - in the clinical-hotels

In addition, 1,347 patients are in critical condition of which 350 are on artificial ventilation.

As of today 22,692 individuals are in self-isolation and 76 individuals are under quarantine.

Vaccination lottery has first winners in Georgia

A total of 160 vaccinated citizens have won cash prizes in a 2.8 million GEL lottery initiated by the Georgian government to boost the Covid-19 vaccination rates in the country which started yesterday. The results of the lottery have been published earlier today on the website www.stopcov.lotto.ge. Out of 160 winners, 10 people won 500 GEL while the remaining 150 individuals won 100 GEL prizes. The lottery will be held every day and winners will be revealed on a daily basis until December 31, 2021.

Georgia has reported 3,221 new cases of coronavirus, 2,990 recoveries and 54 deaths in the past 24 hours. 27,772 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.37,717 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 24,507 of the 37,717 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 13,210 were PCR tests. The country has had 585,036 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.

Georgia has released the application Covid Pass which allows people to get information about their Covid-19 status online. The Coordination Council decided to allow individuals who recovered from coronavirus in the last six months to attend public events without having a vaccination certificate or a negative test result.

Georgia has reported 2,176 new cases of coronavirus, 2,838 recoveries and 43 deaths in the past 24 hours. 26,693 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.35,400 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 18,551 of the 35,400 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16,849 were PCR tests. The country has had 589,727 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 7.46 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
