Georgia reports 3,670 new cases of coronavirus, 2,626 recoveries, 38 deaths

Georgia has reported 3,670 new cases of coronavirus earlier today. Currently 37,108 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
41,885 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 24,184 of the 41,885 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17,701 were PCR tests.
2,626 individuals have recovered and 38 have died from the virus in the past 24 hours.
The country has had 436,573 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
7.85 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
393,453 of the 436,573 patients have recovered, while 5,986 have died from the virus.

The new 3,670 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 1,652 cases
- Adjara - 601 cases
- Imereti - 400 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 197 cases
- Shida Kartli - 155 cases
- Guria - 93 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 190 cases
- Kakheti - 187 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 84 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 89 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 22 cases

6,219 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,258 of the 6,219 patients are in critical condition. 269 of the 1,258 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
27,622 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 6,965,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
564,691 individuals have been vaccinated in the country so far.
French Ambassador to Georgia Diego Colas has thanked the Georgian government for including foreigners in the vaccination against coronavirus earlier today. Foreigners living in Georgia are able to receive Covid-19 vaccines in the three largest cities of Georgia. Ambassador Colas noted that ‘the vaccination process in Georgia is being managed effectively.’
Georgia has reported 4,233 new cases of coronavirus earlier today. Currently 36,102 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
Foreign citizens residing in Georgia who do not have a residence card or a permit are now able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the three main cities of Georgia, the Georgian Health Ministry has reported.
Vaccinated individuals can receive a certification of their status for the purpose of traveling abroad at the medical institution where they received their jab, the Georgian Health Ministry stated today. The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) will also issue a certificate of vaccination for Covid-19. At the request of the receiving country, this certificate can be verified by an apostille from the Public Service Development Agency.
The United Kingdom will cut Georgia from its ‘safe country’ list on August 8 following a sharp increase in coronavirus cases in the country.
Georgia has reported 3,780 new cases of coronavirus earlier today. Currently 38,806 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated earlier today that another lockdown in Georgia would be ‘absolutely unjustified’ as the country has imported more than two million doses of coronavirus vaccine. Georgian government head noted that the lockdown won’t defeat the virus and underscored that mostly it is possible through vaccination.
