Georgia has reported 4,233 new cases of coronavirus earlier today. Currently 36,102 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
45,229 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 26,469 of the 45,229 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18,760 were PCR tests.
1,934 individuals have recovered and 38 have died from the virus in the past 24 hours.
The country has had 432,903 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
7.65 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
390,827 of the 432,903 patients have recovered, while 5,948 have died from the virus.

The new 4,233 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 1,924 cases
- Adjara - 591 cases
- Imereti - 518 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 200 cases
- Shida Kartli - 185 cases
- Guria - 107 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 222 cases
- Kakheti - 270 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 92 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 97 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 27 cases

6,200 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,240 of the 6,200 patients are in critical condition. 261 of the 1,240 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
26,931 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 6,900,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
542,639 individuals have been vaccinated in the country so far.
Foreign citizens residing in Georgia who do not have a residence card or a permit are now able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the three main cities of Georgia, the Georgian Health Ministry has reported.
Recently released IRI polls show that Georgians are ‘increasingly hesitant’ to take the Covid-19 vaccine.
Individuals in Georgia will be able to receive Pfizer coronavirus vaccines not only in hospitals, but also in outpatient facilities, Deputy Georgian Health Minister Tamar Gabunia stated earlier today.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has stated that the government has no plans to reimpose coronavirus restrictions ‘because the state economy will not withstand them.’ He stated at today’s governmental meeting that the authorities have decided to ‘manage the epidemiological situation in the country rather than impose lockdown and other restrictions.’Garibashvili has urged the public to receive vaccines and to trust scientists and not various ‘anti-vaccine fake information and Facebook pages.’
French Ambassador to Georgia Diego Colas has thanked the Georgian government for including foreigners in the vaccination against coronavirus earlier today. Foreigners living in Georgia are able to receive Covid-19 vaccines in the three largest cities of Georgia. Ambassador Colas noted that ‘the vaccination process in Georgia is being managed effectively.’
Georgia has reported 3,670 new cases of coronavirus earlier today. Currently 37,108 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
