Georgia received $187.7 million from abroad in May 2021, which is 42.4% more than the amount in May 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Italy ($31.93 million), Russia ($31.75 million) and the United States ($24.15 million) were the largest remittance senders in May 2021.

Overall, the vast majority (94.6%) of all money transfers from abroad came from 19 countries.
Last month, remittances leaving Georgia totalled $22.9 million, as compared to $13.6 million in May 2020.
Georgia received $161.4 million from abroad in February 2021, which is 17.5% more than the amount in February 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia. Italy ($28.55 million), Greece ($19.71 million) and Russia ($25.14 million) were the largest remittance senders in February 2021.
The average monthly income (cash and non-cash inflows) of the Georgian population amounted to 1,194.6 billion GEL in 2020, which is 4.5% less compared to 2019, says the National Statistic Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Georgia received $194.1 million from abroad in April 2021, which is 145.4% more than the amount in April 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia. Russia ($33.35 million), Italy ($31.73 million) and the United States ($24.88 million) were the largest remittance senders in April 2021.
Georgia received $188.2 million from abroad in March 2021, which is 49.5% more than the amount in March 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Georgia received $201.9 million from abroad in June 2021, which is 19.3% more than the amount in June 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia. Russia ($39.08 million), Italy ($31.70 million) and the United States ($24.98 million) were the largest remittance senders in June 2021.
Georgia has received $208.4 million from abroad in July 2021 which is 10.4% more than the amount received in July 2020, the National Bank of Georgia reports.
Georgia has received $204.9 million from abroad in August 2021 which is 11.2% more than the amount received in August 2020, the National Bank of Georgia reports. The largest remittance senders were Russia ($37.65 million), Italy ($33.62 million) and the United States ($24.62 million).
