Georgia received $187.7 million from abroad in May 2021, which is 42.4% more than the amount in May 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Italy ($31.93 million), Russia ($31.75 million) and the United States ($24.15 million) were the largest remittance senders in May 2021.

Overall, the vast majority (94.6%) of all money transfers from abroad came from 19 countries.
Last month, remittances leaving Georgia totalled $22.9 million, as compared to $13.6 million in May 2020.
