Georgia received $201.9 million from abroad in June 2021, which is 19.3% more than the amount in June 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Russia ($39.08 million), Italy ($31.70 million) and the United States ($24.98 million) were the largest remittance senders in June 2021.

Overall, the vast majority (94.3%) of all money transfers from abroad came from 19 countries.
Last month, remittances leaving Georgia totalled $26.5 million, as compared to $21.9 million in June 2020.
Commercial banks in Georgia lent 39.53 billion GEL and received deposits of 35.41 billion GEL in May 2021, show the latest data by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). The amount of deposits decreased by 0.59% month-on-month, while loans decreased by 1.54%.
Average monthly nominal earnings in Georgia increased by 53.5 GEL (4.4%) in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 1,256.2 GEL (about $397.53/€327.83), reports the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Georgia received $187.7 million from abroad in May 2021, which is 42.4% more than the amount in May 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia. Italy ($31.93 million), Russia ($31.75 million) and the United States ($24.15 million) were the largest remittance senders in May 2021.
The average monthly income (cash and non-cash inflows) of the Georgian population amounted to 1,194.6 billion GEL in 2020, which is 4.5% less compared to 2019, says the National Statistic Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Georgia has received $208.4 million from abroad in July 2021 which is 10.4% more than the amount received in July 2020, the National Bank of Georgia reports.
Commercial banks in Georgia lent 39.60 billion GEL and received deposits of 35.12 billion GEL in July 2021, show the latest data by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). The amount of deposits increased by 1.72%% month-on-month, while loans also increased by 0.98%. There are 15 commercial banks in Georgia, including 14 foreign-owned banks and one branch of non-resident banks.
The consumer price index has increased by 0.7 per cent compared to the previous month, while the annual inflation rate amounted to 12.8 per cent, the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reports.
Georgia has received $204.9 million from abroad in August 2021 which is 11.2% more than the amount received in August 2020, the National Bank of Georgia reports. The largest remittance senders were Russia ($37.65 million), Italy ($33.62 million) and the United States ($24.62 million).
Commercial banks in Georgia lent 40.07 billion GEL and received deposits of 35.41 billion GEL in August 2021, show the latest data by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). The amount of deposits increased by 0.82% month-on-month, while loans also increased by 1.21%. The sum of term deposits increased by 0.36%, while demand deposits, which allow for flexible withdrawal, increased by 1.19%.
Georgia has received $207.3 million from abroad in November 2021, which is 22% more than the amount received in November 2020, the National Bank of Georgia reports.
