Georgia received $194.1 million from abroad in April 2021, which is 145.4% more than the amount in April 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Russia ($33.35 million), Italy ($31.73 million) and the United States ($24.88 million) were the largest remittance senders in April 2021.

Overall, the vast majority (94.9%) of all money transfers from abroad came from 18 countries.
Last month, remittances leaving Georgia totalled $25.8 million, as compared to $10 million in April 2020.
Georgia received $161.4 million from abroad in February 2021, which is 17.5% more than the amount in February 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia. Italy ($28.55 million), Greece ($19.71 million) and Russia ($25.14 million) were the largest remittance senders in February 2021.
Georgia received $149.8 million from abroad in January 2021, which is 19.2% more than the amount in January 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia.
The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) has increased the refinancing rate by one percentage point to 9.50% as a result of which loans for about 125,000 borrowers will increase by one per cent, says the non-government organisation Society and Banks.
Georgia received $188.2 million from abroad in March 2021, which is 49.5% more than the amount in March 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Georgia received $187.7 million from abroad in May 2021, which is 42.4% more than the amount in May 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia. Italy ($31.93 million), Russia ($31.75 million) and the United States ($24.15 million) were the largest remittance senders in May 2021.
Georgia has received $208.4 million from abroad in July 2021 which is 10.4% more than the amount received in July 2020, the National Bank of Georgia reports.
Georgia has received $204.9 million from abroad in August 2021 which is 11.2% more than the amount received in August 2020, the National Bank of Georgia reports. The largest remittance senders were Russia ($37.65 million), Italy ($33.62 million) and the United States ($24.62 million).
Georgia has received $207.3 million from abroad in November 2021, which is 22% more than the amount received in November 2020, the National Bank of Georgia reports.
