Georgia received $149.8 million from abroad in January 2021, which is 19.2% more than the amount in January 2020, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Italy ($27.32 million), Russia ($23.18 million) and Greece ($18.62 million) were the largest remittance senders in January 2021.
Overall, the vast majority (93.2%) of all money transfers from abroad came from 16 countries.

Last month, remittances leaving Georgia totalled $17.2 million, as compared to $18.5 million in January 2020.
