Fire in central Tbilisi extinguished, no casualties

A fire that broke out at a warehouse building on Eristavi Street in Tbilisi earlier today has been extinguished.

Georgia’s Emergency Management Service reports that no one was injured in the fire.

Twelve fire trucks were involved in extinguishing the fire.

Firefighters evacuated 150 individuals from the surrounding area for safety reasons. There was a danger of the fire spreading over a large area, however, as a result of the timely response of firefighters, the fire was fully put out”, reports the press office of the Emergency Management Service.

Online news agency Interpressnews (IPN) reports that furniture and second-hand clothing warehouses were burnt down.
