A fire that broke out at #6 Melikishvili Street in Tbilisi earlier today has been extinguished.
A two-storey residential building has however burnt down leaving six families homeless.

The families affected by the fire have been taken to hotels.

A fire has broken out on top of Mount Kokhta in the Georgian winter resort of Bakuriani earlier today. Locals say the ski lift building was struck by lighting, which caused the fire.
