Police seize large amount of drugs in west Georgian town of Poti, arrest one

Georgian police officers have detained one individual for drug offences in the west  Georgian town of Poti today.

Law enforcers have seized 26 packs of methadone and five packs of cocaine as a result of a personal search of the detainee.

The video released by the Georgian Interior Ministry regarding the detention. 

The detainee, only identified as D.Ts., 33, is accused of the purchase and possession of a large amount of drugs.

The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
