Opposition activities are rallying at various district election commissions in Tbilisi and in the regions, where commission members are making summaries of the results after a recount of votes in several constituencies.
Opposition activists are protesting the results of the October 31 parliamentary elections and are demanding the dismissal of the head of Georgia’s Central Election Commission Tamar Zhvania.
Rallies are taking place in Samgori, Vake, Gldani, Nadzaladevi districts of Georgia and in Gori.
One opposition activist, Besik Gazdeliani, was detained in Samgori for disobeying police earlier today.
One of the leaders of the European Georgia opposition party Sergi Kapanadze says that 99 per cent of lawsuits by opposition and NGOs regarding the recounting of votes in several polling stations were rejected by the court.

He said that the election commission also refused to recount the votes in the polling stations where ‘there was an obvious imbalance in result summaries.’
The CEC says that 901 complaints by local NGOs and parties were written through the violation of mandatory procedures that was the reason for rejection.
The CEC says that they received about 1,941 complaints. 1,272 of the 1,941 complaints were by parties and the remaining 564 were by observing missions.
The opposition says that the October 31 parliamentary elections were fabricated by the Georgian Dream leadership and CEC.
