Georgia confirms 152 new COVID-19 cases, including 90 in Adjara region

Georgia has confirmed a total of 152 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours. Six individuals have recovered.

Out of the 152 new cases:

  • 90 are connected with the region of Adjara
  • 15 are connected with a public school in Kutaisi, western Georgia
  • 15 are connected with the Enguri dam connecting Russia-occupied Abkhazia with the rest of Georgia
  • 17 had contact with infected individuals
  • 4 cases are imported

The source of infection of the remaining 11 individuals needs to be identified.

A total of 2227 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Georgia since February 26, including 1369 recoveries and 19 deaths.
