Georgia reports 6 new cases of coronavirus, 168 patients recovered, six dead

Georgia has reported 6 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 517.
Two of the six new patients do not know how they contracted the virus..
168 of the 517 people have recovered, while six others have died.
As of today 341 people remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.
5,153 people are under quarantine and 549 others in hospitals.

Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze says that Georgia is hitting the peak of the spread of the virus and no serious increase in COVID-19 cases is expected in the coming weeks.
The country has already lifted several, coronavirus-related restrictions, including restrictions on the use of private vehicles.
Twelve more individuals have recovered from COVID-19 in Georgia increasing the total number of recoveries to 168. Georgia has confirmed 511 coronavirus cases since February 26, including six deaths.
A COVID-19 patient with blood cancer has been cured in Georgia. Doctor said that the patient was undergoing treatment in Republican Hospital of Tbilisi and had a very low chance to survive.
Georgian health officials say that Georgia’s statistics pertaining to the coronavirus are reliable, dismissing reports of several media outlets that the country is hiding its real figures.
Georgia has begun the first stage of a plan to gradually lift coronavirus-related restrictions today, allowing private vehicles and taxis back out onto the roads, and allowing e-commerce (wholesale and retail), delivery services and open air markets to resume operations.
Georgia received 40,000 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests from China earlier today, which the country had bought and an additional 20,000 rapid antibody tests as a gift from the Chinese government.
Amnesty International says in its most recent study that Georgia enacted necessary state of emergency measures on April 21. However, it says that concerns were raised that certain anti-Covid-19 measures were applied ‘in a discriminatory fashion.’
Georgia reported 22 new cases of coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 539. 178 patients of the 539 have recovered, while six others have died. As of today 353 remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia. 5,256 people are under quarantine in the country and 548 others are in hospitals. 15 of the 22 new cases are connected with Tetritskaro municipality, three new patients are from Svaneti region and the remaining four individuals are from Bolnisi municipality.
Georgia reported 27 new cases of coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 566. 184 patients of the 566 have recovered, while six others have died. As of today 374 remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia. 5,320 people are under quarantine in the country and 548 others are in hospitals. Head of the National Disease Control Centre Amiran Gamkrelidze says that Georgia has managed to contain the spread of the virus.
