A COVID-19 patient with blood cancer has been cured in Georgia.
Doctor said that the patient was undergoing treatment in Republican Hospital of Tbilisi and had a very low chance to survive.
Director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases Tengiz Tsertsvadze said that having only six deaths from the coronavirus shows that the country has a strong approach to the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
He said that all ten hospitals in Georgia which receive COVID-19 patients are using the same method of treatment.
Tsertsvadze said that the patients who suffer from a severe form of the virus receive individual treatment according to their condition.
Georgia has reported 14 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 511.
156 of the 511 people have recovered, while six others have died.
As of today 347 people remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.
5,085 people are under quarantine and 558 others in hospitals.
