A patient infected with the coronavirus, who earlier was said to be in critical condition, has been cured by Georgian doctors, head of the First Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University Levan Ratiani stated earlier today.
When she entered the clinic she was in a terminal condition, with a very low chance of surviving,” Ratiani said, adding that the woman, who has already been discharged, is from Marneuli municipality of Georgia which remains in lockdown.
Ratiani said that as of today the clinic has 55 COVID-19 patients. Seven of the 55 are in critical condition.
Georgia has reported 12 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 230.
Of the 230, 54 individuals have recovered, three people have died and two others were foreign citizens who left the country last month.
As of today Georgia has 171 active cases of the virus.
