The villages of Khatisopeli, Vanati, Mushevani in eastern Georgia have have been placed on strict lockdown due to an outbreak of the coronavirus.
Georgian Interior Ministry announced earlier today that movement in the villages will be banned.

Representatives of interior and defence ministries will supervise checkpoints and ensure implementation of the state of emergency regulations during the lockdown.
They will also provide locals with comprehensive information about the quarantine restrictions and provide assistance. PHoto: Interior Ministry press office
The marneuli and Bolnisi municipalities in eastern Georgia remain under lockdown since March 23. However, additional stricter measures have been applied on the city of Bolnisi, as well as the villages of Rachisubani, Kvemo Bolnisi, Savaneti, Balichi and the small town of Kazreti.
