The town of Tetritskaro in Kvemo Kartli has been placed on lockdown after a number of local residents tested positive for coronavirus.
Kvemo Kartli governor Shota Rekhviashvili announced today that a total of 19 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the Tetritskaro municipality, including 12 cases in the town of Tetritskaro.
The rest of the cases were reported in the villages of Jorjiashvili, Tsintskaro and Gorteti. However, there was no necessity to place them on lockdown. Instead, locals will stay in self-isolation to avoid further spread of the virus.
