Georgia's Emergency Service 112 has improved its program software to ensure even faster and effective communication with citizens in need of police and medical services in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

The new program updates ensure a more seamless connection between citizens, operators of 112 and the medical and police services.

Georgian Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia believes this is yet another step forward towards ensuring better quality service for citizens.

We are carrying out a number of reforms at the ministry and in the near future we will present an integrated platform that will bring us even closer to our citizens”, Minister Gakharia announced.

This is one of the programs the interior ministry is carrying out with Tbilisi City Hall.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said the improvement of municipal services is among the key priorities for his office.

I am sure that together we can deal with all the challenges the city is facing nowadays and our city will be the most beautiful, comfortable and service-oriented”, Kaladze said.

Recently Georgia's Emergency Service 112 launched a mobile application for locating emergency calls and to speed up the provision of aid in emergency situations in Georgia.

Uniting three different services - the patrol police, fire/rescue and medical services, 112 receives emergency calls from all over Georgia via the emergency number - 1-1-2 - 24 hours a day.
