Visiting the families today, Sozar Subari, Georgian Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, said the "A House in the Village” project is working very well.

We can see in the example of these families how people have not only become the owners of very good houses but they also have a source of income”, Subari said about the example of one IDP family that runs a greenhouse on its land where they can produce anything for sale.

Ministry of IDPs has been buying houses worth 17,000-31,000 GEL in different parts of Georgia for IDPs.

Within the state project the families can choose where in the village they want to have their new house built. All the houses include plots of land for further production.
