360 internally displaced families from the Russian occupied regions of Georgia - Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) - have received village houses with plots of land to produce their own agricultural products in the western region of Imereti.
The Georgian Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia bought a 2,000 sq.m plot of land for a four-member Kurashvili family within the framework of the state project.

Pikria Kurashvili, an IDP from Abkhazia, selected the house herself. Her husband is a soldier serving in Afghanistan. The family will now take care of the house and take care of the land to produce fruit and vegetables.
Within the framework of the state project, families can choose where in the village they want to have their new house. All the houses include plots of land for further production and income.
