649 internally displaced families from the Russian occupied regions of Georgia - Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) - have received village houses with plots of land to produce their own agricultural products in the western region of Imereti.
The Ministry of IDPs has been buying houses worth 17,000-31,000 GEL in different parts of Georgia for IDPs within "A House in the Village” state project.

The families can choose where in the village they want to have their new house. All the houses include plots of land for further production and income.
1,000 more displaced families from both Russian occupied regions of Georgia they will move to brand new village houses all around Georgia in near future.
