A grand cultural venue in the capital of Qatar is hosting a two-week display of works by Georgian painters.
Launched on Monday and titled Expressing Space Exhibition, the showcase of works features artists including Gia Japaridze, Alex Berdysheff and Mamuka Tsetskhladze in Doha.
Organised by Tbilisi-based Vanda Art Gallery, the display features 64 works by the featured painters.

The visual art creations are flanked by craft items by artisans from Georgia to complete the exhibits of the event.
Featuring officials from the two states at its opening event, the exhibition is hosted at the Katara Cultural Village.

Unveiled in 2010, the complex is promoted as a "site of art, knowledge, virtuosity, ingenuity and a variety of diverse cultural activities”.
The venue has hosted a number of events organised by the Georgian embassy in Qatar over the recent years.
The display of paintings by Georgian artists will run at the venue through October 1.
