Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has announced the creation of two new enterprises that will bring about 100 jobs to the country.
At today's Governmental meeting Kvirikashvili said one new business would open in capital Tbilisi and the other would open in Georgia’s western Racha region.
About 70 people would be employed at a new glass-plastic merchandise factory at Tbilisi’s outlying Lilo settlement. About 20 of these jobs would go to former convicts.
The American Contract Vision company will invest about $300,000 in the new factory.
We will hand the [American Contract Vision] real estate, land and an old enterprise building where it will focus its investment. The company initiated to employee 20 former convicts at the factory and we have welcomed the offer,” Kvirikashvili said.
The second new enterprise was a water bottling business and this will open through the state initiated Produce in Georgia program in Ambrolauri area of the mountainous Racha region. This new business will create about 30 new jobs.
Each new job in Racha is very important,” Kvirikashvili said.
About $100,000 will be invested in the new water bottling enterprise.
