Georgian leaders are saddened by the powerful earthquake that has hit Mexico off the southern coast.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili expressed deep condolences towards families who have lost their loved ones, the Mexican people and its government.

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili also went to his Twitter to express condolence.
I express my deepest sorrow over the deadly earthquake in #Mexico. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

CNN reports that more than 60 people have died from "the magnitude 8.1 quake, which was felt as far as Mexico City and Guatemala City, was registered off Mexico's southern coast just as heavy rains from Hurricane Katia lashed the east”.
