Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has conveyed his deep sorrow to the Philippines after a tropical storm hit the country’s southern islands killing some 200.
Margvelashvili took to Twitter to express his sorrow.
My deepest sorrow over disasterous tropical storm in #Philippines. #Georgia stands with #Philippines government and people in solidarity.

Rescue teams have yet to reach some of the affected areas where 150 people are still missing and 70,000 have been displaced from their homes.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte plans to visit communities affected by the storm today.
