Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili is offering his condolences to Egypt after more than 25 people were killed when gunmen attacked a bus carrying Coptic Christians.
"I am deeply saddened over the armed attack in Egypt that killed innocent people. I offer my condolences to the families of those killed and stand by the people and government of Egypt”, Margvelashvili said in a statement released today.
BBC reported that the attack killed at least 26 people and wounded 25 others.
The bus that was attacked was heading towards the Monastery of St Samuel the Confessor in Minya province, 220km (140 miles) south of Cairo, when it came under fire.
