Number of people killed by the earthquake and tsunami which hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi on September 28 has risen to 832 and may reach thousands, country's government warns.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has released a statement sending condolences to the Indonesian people and government over the casualties of a 7.5-magnitude earthquake triggering a tsunami which has hit Sulawesi Island.

More than 380 people have been confirmed dead after a tsunami hit an Indonesian city on 28 September, the BBC reports.
“The deadly earthquake and tsunami not only caused the tragic death of people but has also seriously damaged the infrastructure in the region. Georgia stands by Indonesia during these hard times,” the MFA said today.
Indonesia's disaster agency has reported at least 384 people killed, but the number might increase.
Also, at least 540 have been injured and 29 are listed as missing, the BBC says.
