Georgian top officials and the country’s Foreign Ministry have sent their deepest condolences to the Greek government and people amidst the worst wildfire which has hit the country in more than a decade, killing at least 60 people and leaving more than 150 injured.
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze wrote that the thoughts of Georgians are with the Greek people.

President Giorgi Margvelashvili stated that Georgia is standing by the government and the people of Greece.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has reported that only one Georgian citizen and their whereabouts have not been accounted for.

The latest figures say that at least 60 people have been killed and more than 150 injured. The death toll and the number of injured is expected to rise.
