Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Wednesday said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze would participate in a meeting of the NATO-Georgia Commission, which he said was “one of the main mechanisms of NATO-Georgia bilateral cooperation”.
Darchiashvili noted both the European Union and NATO were “clear foreign priorities” for the Government, as enshrined in the country’s constitution.
“It is important that the Prime Minister of Georgia will hold a meeting with the President of the European Parliament. I am sure that this meeting will bring a new impetus to these relations”, he added.
The top Georgian diplomat added the first official visit of the Prime Minister to Brussels was “focused on European integration on the one hand, and further deepening and strengthening of NATO-Georgia cooperation on the other”.
