Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Tuesday said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s first official foreign visit being made to Brussels was a “signal” the country was “doing everything” to ensure European integration in the Euro-Atlantic space.

In his comments to the media, Papuashvili said the PM was scheduled to hold “high-level” meetings with “all leaders” of EU and NATO bodies during the trip.

He also said the “main decisions” were “up to the country’s European partners”, and hoped they would be “as brave as Georgia has been for decades”.
