Italian PM vows support for Georgia’s EU integration

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday said Italy and Romania shared “many common goals and visions”, including their support for Georgia’s European Union integration path.

At the Italian-Romanian intergovernmental meeting, the Government head noted the two countries had a common position on Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia joining the bloc. 

Meloni also emphasised the “strategic” importance of the Balkan countries in her comments.
