Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday highlighted his Government’s “firm” political and humanitarian support for Ukraine amid the latter’s ongoing war with Russia.
Kobakhidze was asked about the Ukrainian peace summit at his joint press briefing with Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin, and said Georgia and Ukraine were “connected by very close, long-term cooperation” that also linked citizens of the two countries.
The PM said Georgia was “doing everything in its power” and was “ready to discuss further measures” that the country could implement with its partners.
