Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko on Tuesday extended his gratitude to the Georgian Government for the recent delivery of power generators to Ukraine to help with uninterrupted operation of critical civilian infrastructure during the ongoing conflict in the country.
The Mayor said the generators had been distributed to city institutions to provide necessary utility services to citizens of the capital city.
In his letter to the Georgian foreign office, Klitschko noted the support of Georgian authorities was “very important” for Ukraine, “especially in such a difficult time caused by Russia's aggression”.
The Georgian Embassy in Ukraine handed over 25 power generators to authorities in the country, in the latest aid package sent from Georgia amid the ongoing military conflict, earlier this month.
The “high-power” generators were purchased for delivery to Ukraine on the instructions of the Georgian Prime Minister, and were delivered to Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Lviv and Kyiv regions, as well as the capital itself.
