Croatia’s Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman on Thursday reaffirmed his country’s “firm support” for Georgia’s European integration process and pledged readiness to share “experience and knowledge” to help the country in its aspirations of becoming a member of the European Union.

At a media briefing in Tbilisi with his Georgian counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili, the visiting official said his Government was waiting to see “Georgia moving forward” to obtain the bloc’s membership candidate status.

Croatia is ready to help you in this direction by sharing our experience and knowledge. You can count on us. We will help you with everything you need. We know from our own experience that it is a long journey, but a very rewarding one”, Radman said in the briefing.

Pointing to his upcoming visit to the occupation line in central Georgia, before the conclusion of his trip on Saturday, the Croatian official said his country was also ready to share its experience in peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Radman is on his first official visit to Georgia that comes on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
