Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Thursday said he appreciated Croatia's support for the country's European integration, in a remark following a meeting with his visiting counterpart Gordan Grlić Radman.
At a briefing following the meeting between the two top diplomats, Darchiashvili noted Croatia “once again” had confirmed its “firm support” for Georgia's integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
We highly appreciate this supportive position of Croatia to promote Georgia's accession to the European Union and to share its experience with us. At the meeting, we discussed the work and progress made by Georgia in terms of a number of priorities, the goal of which is to move to the next stage of joining the European Union”, Darchiashvili said.
The top Georgian diplomat stressed the Government was “actively continuing” to fulfil its obligations under the 2014-signed Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union.

We continue to actively work to fulfil all the priorities and commitments made in the Association Agreement. Along with the issue of joining the European Union, we talked about Georgia's medium-term goal, which implies gradual integration into the European Union [and] maximum access to its single market”, he noted.
“This will provide specific benefits to Georgia and its citizens in the short and medium term, and it will actually be possible to enjoy the benefits that EU membership brings”, Darchiashvili added.
