Zaza Gogsadze, the Georgian Ambassador to Croatia on Sunday said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s ongoing visit to Croatia was of a “special importance” as Croatia was an active supporter of the country’s path to European Union integration.
Gogsadze described the PM’s visit to Croatia as the first “high-level” visit in the history of countries' ties marking the start of a “new phase”, while the diplomat also emphasised the two country’s similarities in terms of territory, population and recent history, noting sharing Croatia’s experience was “very important”.
He also pointed out that Garibashvili and his Croatian counterpart will take part in the official opening of the Georgian Embassy in Zagreb, highlighting the “close ties and ongoing activities” between the two countries.
