Two individuals have been charged by the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia for selling prescriptions for psychotropic drugs without medical testing in Georgia’s east.
The Service said it had established the individuals issued prescriptions without “proper medical examination and laboratory tests” for material gain.
It added it cooperated with the Kakheti District Prosecutor’s Office in the east to charge the persons with the article of “commercial bribery”.
The crime is punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to three years.
