Twenty-seven pharmacies have been found by the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service to be selling psychoactive drugs illegally in Tbilisi and other regions of Georgia.
A large quantity of psychoactive drugs has been confiscated from the pharmacies.
Police found that out of 27 pharmacies only three are authorised to sell psychotropic drugs, while the rest do not have proper permits.
Although both authorised and unlicensed pharmacies were selling psychotropic drugs without a doctor’s prescription.
The State Security Service says that all individuals involved in the sale of psychotropic drugs will be prosecuted in the coming future.
