The body also said Lela Chikovani, the First Deputy Defence Minister, had discussed international cooperation with Georgia’s strategic partner and ally states at a meeting of the Committee, including the partner states’ support and cooperation in strengthening the country's defence capability.
Speaking about international cooperation in defence, we touched on relations with the main strategic partner - the United States - as well as relations with other strategic partners such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Romania [and] Turkey”, Beraia said.
The lawmaker added the meeting pointed out how both national efforts and international support were being “synchronised” to strengthen Georgia’s defence capability.
