The cooperation between Georgia and the United States was discussed on Monday in a meeting between Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, and Robin Dunnigan, the United States Ambassador to Georgia.

Kobakhidze expressed his belief that the “strategic partnership” and cooperation between the two countries would be “significantly strengthened and deepened” under Dunnigan’s tenure in the country, the Georgian Dream press office said.

The officials in the meeting also focused on “political processes” in the country.

Among the subjects reviewed were the Georgian Government’s work to be granted the European Union membership candidate status, relations between domestic political entities and the 2024 Parliamentary Elections.
