This is why it is crucial for Georgia to ensure economic stability and wealth before the [EU] membership”, the Parliament Speaker stressed, adding as a result of the “record economic growth of the last several years, Georgia has already passed the ‘entry level’ required for the EU membership”.
Papuashvili noted the economic development was “essential” for Georgia’s EU membership and “a decisive factor for long-term peace and stability in the region”, adding it implied “more jobs, improved infrastructure, and greater well-being and prosperity for the Georgian citizens”.
